FAITH – Finding Answers In The Heart

We all have the answers within us, we always have and we always will. Being still helps us to connect to our inner knowing, our intuition, to the answers that we hold within us. We spend so much time in our heads, not in the moment but in the past or in the future and we overlook, overthink, over rationalise the “feeling” in our gut or our heart and we ignore our inner knowing, or worse we Google an answer or a solution. Being still and letting our constant thoughts settle is a good way to connect to our … Continue reading

Why I meditate – meditation is something I can do for me.

Meditation is something I can do for me. It doesn’t cost me anything, I can do it anywhere at anytime and the benefits are numerous. I started at a time when I was very stressed and mole hills were quickly turning into mountains. I knew I had to do something and a drop in meditation class, it was called deep relaxation back then, came along and off I went. That was the best thing I ever did and I was very lucky that the first class had a huge impact on me. I felt so good that I was … Continue reading

What is Mindfulness and how does it help you?

what is mindfulness and what are the benefits

“Mindfulness means paying attention in a particular way; on purpose, in the present moment, and non-judgmentally.” – Jon Kabat-Zinn I think of mindfulness as being in the moment, being aware of what I’m doing and what I’m thinking.  It’s so easy to slip into autopilot mode and eat, work, sleep, repeat, day in, day out and what do you know, you can’t remember what you had for dinner last night. I don’t want life to pass me by. “It’s the not the Destination, It’s the journey.” -Ralph Waldo Emerson How hard can it be? Well, it is hard to … Continue reading

IT STARTED WITH A WHIFF…

I had used Essential Oils before and I went to an Intro to Oils class with Katische, www.katische.com and Chantal, www.chantalroelofs.com . I wanted to catch up with a friend and I was a little bit curious about these doTerra Oils I had been hearing about and seeing around. I went with me the very firm intention of “I’m not going to buy anything.” We started with a drop of Wild Orange oil in my hands, I rubbed them together inhaled and I was hooked, by the time we got to Frankincense any intentions I had were completely gone! All the … Continue reading

MEDITATION FAQs and ANSWERS

MY mind is too busy to Meditate. Yes and??? We all have busy minds, that’s an excuse not a reason. The object of Meditation is to observe the thoughts, watch them like clouds moving across the sky, we aren’t trying to stop the thoughts. Picture a snow globe, give it a good shake and see the glitter floating around. This image is a good scenario for a busy mind. Over time just like the glitter the thoughts in your mind will slow down and settle. I don’t have time to meditate. Make time. Get up 15 mins earlier, forgo that … Continue reading
